Security Guard Training Courses

Whether you’re in Surrey locations like Epsom and Guildford, further afield in Horsham, Kingston or Sutton, or anywhere else in the South East or the UK, you can choose from the following training courses.

  • Door Supervision – The BIIAB National Certificate for Door Supervisors is a nationally recognised qualification. It meets industry standards and allows you to apply for your SIA license. The course consists of 2 15-hour units.
  • HSE First Aid Work – A full course approved by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive). Once qualified, you can operate as a first aider in the workplace, complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Risk Assessment – A level 2 certificate in Risk Assessment awarded by the British Safety Council. Upon completion of this 1-day course, you will hold formal recognition of your ability to undertake HSE-compliant risk assessments, a vital aspect of the services we provide as a security company.
  • Manned Guarding – A NOCN level 2 award, this security guard training course covers the 3 core sectors in the industry: manned guarding (human presence, patrols, deterrent), systems (alarms, CCTV, access control) and physical (barriers, gates, padlocks). We teach 2 units totalling 30 hours.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety – This NVQ is aimed at those working as stewards on matchdays and at events, be they in Epsom, Guildford, Horsham or any other location. Mandatory units include ‘prepare for spectator events’, ‘help to manage conflict’ and ‘control the entry, exit and movement of people at spectator events’.
  • Pit Team Training – A BTEC level 2 qualification awarded by EDEXCEL, this 1-day course focuses on working in the ‘pit’ at live concerts. Upon completion, you will have a better understanding of role-related hazards and the various issues you may face while working in Kingston, Sutton, the wider London area and nationwide.
  • Close Protection Training – This security guard training course is an EDEXCEL level 3 BTEC certificate. It’s a 150-hour qualification that our security company usually runs over 3 weeks. When complete, you will have the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to qualify for a close protection operative license.
  • Fire Marshal Training – We teach this course with a focus on visual, auditory and hands-on learning. This includes practical use of fire extinguishers on real fires of different types and classes. Fire Marshal training encourages a proactive approach to business and venue protection.
  • 7303 City & Guilds – As an ‘award in preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector’, this intensive course builds your knowledge on the principles of teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation. We ensure your assignments are relevant to your vocation. You must complete 5 sections to finish the course.
  • Conflict Management – The BIIAB Award in Conflict Management provides a basic understanding of how to effectively deal with violence in the workplace. This security guard training course consists of 9 units with 8 learning hours. We assess you by means of an exam containing 30 multiple-choice questions.
  • CCTV Operator Training – The position of CCTV operator is an increasingly high-profile role in the security sector. This BTEC Award provides the knowledge needed to handle the growing responsibilities associated with CCTV operation. The course has 2 15-hour units: CCTV Control Room Principles and CCTV Control Room Practices.
